Harbour Update – posted 23/11/24

Did anyone see anything today? Amazingly…yes! The wind and rain started pretty early and as a result 3 Great Northern Diver flew into the harbour at dawn to escape the storm, followed by 61 Shag and 4 Red-breasted Merganser. At some point a Velvet Scoter also snuck in as there was one off Redhorn Quay, Brands Bay late afternoon which headed towards Brownsea. Out off Middle Beach, Studland 18 Common Scoter were sheltering. Other than that there didn’t seem to be many people out birding today. We’re not sure why? 😉
